How to create new account

Creating new account is utterly easy process. Go to the create new account page and enter your contact email, pass captcha test and press Submit button. In a couple of seconds, you receive email from robot with confirmation link. Press this link. In a second you will receive e-mail with login and password to system.

How to restore existing account

If you forget your password or existing one doesn’t fit, you can restore password easily. Go to the create new account page and enter your contact email, pass through captcha test and press Submit button. In a couple of seconds, you receive email from robot with confirmation link. Press this link. In a second you will receive e-mail with login and restored password.

How to log-in to account

Go to login page. Enter your login (this is your contact e-mail you entered in process of registration) and password which you received after registration. Pass through captcha test and press Submit button. If all data are correct and is actual, you will be logged in your panel. If not, you could always try to restore your password.

What type of account do I have?

What type of account do I have?

Account type is pointed out on Account info panel. Available number of days is also there.

In the beginning, when you just register new account, you have trial period 30 days. Because we are in long BETA we decided to do not limit any trial's accounts by any time limitations. When the current trial period is ended, just click “Extend trial period” link and works next 30 days free of charge, etc. If you need more disk space, what quite possible in case of big number of web-pages on website, please contact us by means of feed-back form with the request of disk quota extension.

How to add new site to test process

  • 1. Login into your account.
  • 2. Put required website domain name in the targeted field
  • 3. Check whether it's necessary checkbox "Check internal elements availability" to check internal elements (such as documents, linked images, etc.) or leave it blank
  • 4. Check whether it's necessary checkbox "Check outgoing/external elements availability" to check external links, documents, elements, status and availability or leave it blank
  • 5. In “filters” field put everything, which should be ignoring within the process. If there are several filters, delimit them by new line sign (Enter). For example, if you are going to ignore everything on the website what contains “print” in URL, use pattern “.*?print.*?”. If you’re going to ignore everything what contains “-news-“ in URL, use pattern “.*?-news-.*?”.

On Main account screen press “Reindex right now” icon and confirm your choice. In couple of seconds the process will start automatically with all filters and other settings you pointed out previously.

On Main account screen in row “Rescan every” click on according chooser. Select the period through which the rescan should occur. That’s all. The next rescan will occur in selected period automatically.

On Main account screen press “Delete” icon and confirm your choice. That’s all, this result will be removed.

How to pause/resume test process

On Main account screen press “Pause” or “Resume” (if it is already on pause) icon. If the website is big (several thousand pages or dozens of thousand pages), process of resuming could take several minutes what is connected with the restoration of a large amount of data and the state of the system.

How to give us feedback about test result

On Main account screen select test result row you’re going to rate and press “Rate result” icon. If the result was wrong – select “Wrong”. Otherwise, if the result was perfect and helpful – select “Useful” or “Really useful”. Press “Submit” button.

How to receive test results by e-mail

You can set up a notification by e-mail when the next test is ready. This allows us, once configure all the scan parameters and having automated test, receiving results by email periodically with the interval you have selected. Select “Send scan report as email” in appropriate website test result for that, deselect - otherwise.

How to respect Robots.txt in test results

If you are going to follow all the rules prescribed in Robots.txt, please choose checkbox “Respect Robots.txt rules” in appropriate website test result. If not – deselect it.

How to change crawler speed

In appropriate website test result click on “Crawler speed” chooser. Select crawler speed you want.

Login into your account

In appropriate website test results click on number of persons, who you're going share results with (see screenshot). In the new window that opens, enter the email address of the person with whom you want to share the result. Click "Apply" to submit it. If there are several such people, each new e-mail should start with the new line.

How to filter crawler pages

Filters is a very convenient feature. Let’s imagine that we have got huge website with a lot of pages. Some of them are really valuable, some of them are not and doesn’t affect anyhow on the final results. For example, "print-it" pages, "e-mail to a friend" pages and others which doesn’t have outbound links and thus doesn’t bring anything in website links array. We can ignore them by means of placing them in Filters.

In appropriate website test result click on Number of filters. In the new window that opens, enter the filters we are going to have. Click "Apply" to submit it. If there are several filter patterns, each new one should start with the new line.

  • 1. We want to ignore all print forms on website. We know that all “print it” pages has “print-it” in URL. The pattern of this filters will be “.*?print-it.*?”
  • 2. We want to ignore all comments pages on website. We know that they have -comments- in page URL. The pattern of this filters will be “.*?comments.*?”
  • Etc.

How to find all outbound/outgoing links

  • 1. Login into account.
  • 2. In appropriate website test results click on website URL you’re going to work with.
  • 3. In the opened "website results" View in outbound links field enter ::EXTERNAL (including double colon) OR tap in this field and press any key (space for example), in the drop-down box choose appropriate type of external link you're looking for. More about types of search see here.

  • 6. In search result page there are only pages with appropriate your search criteria external links. Click on any result you want.
  • 7. In "Detailed page" View you can see cells highlighted by red colour, they contains result you’re looking for.

  • 3. In the opened website results in top-right corner see “Filter by status/resp. code” section. There are several types of redirects accordingly some type of needs. In more details you can read it, for example, in Wikipedia. Thus, we can have them in test results of our website test. In general, we will have deal with the following redirects:
    • * Permanent redirect
    • * Temporary redirect
    • * Redirect (Alive, Unattainable, Unknown) if we’re checking outgoing links status
  • 4.a Open chooser “Filter by status” and choose REDIRECT <<TYPE>> you’re interested in.
