main window interface description
  1. 1. Panel adding new site to test process. Just put your website name into this field and press "Start new process" button. The process should be started in couple of seconds (See also: How to add new site to test process)
  2. 2. Account type. There are 2 sorts of accounts: trial and paid. Depending on your type of account you see information about type and account expiration date (See also: What type of account do I have?)
  3. 3. Websites panel. In this panel collected all websites you're working with. There are a lot of information you could draw from this panel. All of it will be discussed further
  4. 4. Suggest an idea/give us feedback. Feedback is very important part of our job. It makes our efforts more regulative and effective. We will be appreciated very much for your opinion and ideas how helps better!!
  5. 20. Info about account available space, used space and total space
  6. 5. Name of website you're working with
  7. 6. In many cases we can visualize scan results. It makes perception more intuitive, understandable, it can also save time for taking decision how to improve website. Unfortunately, it is not doable yet, in cases if page quantity is more than 1500. This is due to JavaScript productivity in browser
  8. 7. Rate the result. You can vote and rate the results of website scan. It gives us know how well it was done and improve our service (See also: How to give us feedback about test result)
  9. 8. Delete item. If you don't need website test result any more, just delete it. Disk space occupied by this test result will be returned to account disk quote (See also: How to delete test result)
  10. 9. Put on pause. The sense is obvious. When you decided continue process, just resume it. By clicking on resume button which will be instead if pause button (See also: How to pause/resume test process)
  11. 10. Open additional setting panel.
  12. 11. The physical size of collected data. Before we will be able analyze data and build all the website dependencies, we have to collect website data in cache. So, here we can see the website cache size, what will be considered in the overall account quota
  13. 12. Process status. The process could work, wait for mapping, be done, etc. In this cell you can see the current status of the process.
  14. 13-14. Pages identified. Dynamical info about processed pages and pages in crawling plan
  15. 15. Broken pages. How many pages have been identified as broken (404 response code)
  16. 16. Redirects. How many pages have been identified as redirect (301, 302, 303 response code)
  17. 17. Filters. By means of this feature we can control crawling process and which pages or sections should be ignored in test process. More details about this feature will be enclosed further, now we just briefly mention it. (See also: How to filter crawler pages)
  18. 18. Shared with. We can share results with somebody or with a group of people you want. Only shared test result will be accessible for contact, all the other account resources will be hide for them. (See also: How to share results with the others)
  19. 19. Rescan every. Choose any value if you're going to automatically rescan/test website periodically. Thus, you could fully automate the test process. (See also: How to test website automatically)
  20. 20. Send scan report as e-mail. At the end of test e-mail with test results will be sent to you. By default, the value is OFF. (See also: How to receive test results by e-mail)
  21. 21. Respect robots.txt rules. By default, the value is OFF. If it's active - robot will respect robots.txt instructions and limitations, if not - will ignore them. (See also: How to respect Robots.txt in test results)
  22. 22. Check internal elements availability. If checkbox selected, our robot will check internal documents, pictures or, in general elements which are used into website pages. If they are broken or inaccessible they will be marked as inaccessible. Checking speed will not exceeded 1 hit per second. As there may be many such elements and checking speed of own website elements is really gentle, the checking could take long time (e.g. dozen minutes). If checkbox unselected, the check will not be done. (See also: How to check website internal document/elements links availability )
  23. 23. Check external elements availability. If checkbox selected, our robot will check external documents, pictures or, in general links. If they are broken or inaccessible they will be marked as inaccessible. Checking speed could exceeded 1 hit per second. As there may be many such elements (e.g. Facebook community link, twitter account link, etc.), the checking could take long time (e.g. dozen minutes, or even hour if website has a lot of such links). If checkbox unselected, the check will not be done. (See also: How to check external link/documents/elements availability, How to find and check outbound (outgoing, external) website links)
  24. 24. Crawler speed. This indicate how fast crawler requesting the new page. It can't be faster than 1 hit/second. This way we will hardly be able DDOS testing website. (See also: How to change crawler speed)

  1. 1. Navigation tool. By means of them you can operate within current data spreadsheet:
    1. a. Back to main panel - return to the main panel from any place of current spreadsheet
    2. b. Back to current spreadsheet - return to the first page of current spreadsheet
    3. c. View settings - increase/decrease font size, change table view mode, font style, show/hide additional information about meta elements of the page. About last of the above - you can show/hide additional info about:
      1. i. Page load time
      2. ii. Page title
      3. iii. Charset
      4. iv. Keywords
      5. v. Description
      6. vi. Author
      7. vii. Cache control
      8. viii. Robots
      9. ix. Canonical url
      10. x. Integration with OGP/social networks

  2. All of it could represent valuable data on one screen without overloading it with information
  3. 2. Short info about account owner, last login time and log-out button
  4. 3. Search by. Really useful and powerful possibility to filter and select any pages of indexed website. You can use just one of them or all of them simultaneously to filter any pages by some criteria. For example you can filter pages by any symbols/words in page url or any text in inbound/outbound text link, or by page keyword, etc., etc., etc. , or by all of it at once. You can also combine it with page status, response code results (next description) results. (See also: How to use Search properly)
  5. 4. Filter by status/response code. This works in pairs or independently with "Search by" fields (see previous point). Just select page status or page response code you are interested in and see all pages with this status/code. If status is selected, not necessary point out code and vice versa.   6. 5. Search button/ advanced search button. Search button - start search process itself, advanced search button - show/hide panel with advanced criteria. By default you can see 3 fields: inbound url, page url, outbound url
  7. 6. Result page number. By default, result view contains 1000 pages. If test result have more pages they will be splitted by several result views.
  8. 7. Inbound links quantity. Each page has inbound and, most probably, outbound links. In this column you see inbound links quantity.
  9. 8. Page url. Just page url with some additional information by default such as: page load time, meta page title. Additional info could be extended/reduced as it has been mentioned in 1.c
  10. 9. Actions pane. When you hover over this pane, you can see additional operations which can be done.

    2. Create new filter - let's imagine situation that the page is not of interest to us and can be throw out of the process without any harm for result. For example "print page" or "e-mail to the friend", etc. We can create filter and ignore pages like that from the crawl process. The detailed information will be enclosed below, here just briefly info.
    3. Find url in outbound - find this url in outbound links the other pages of this website
    4. Find url in inbound - find this url in inbound links the other pages of this website
  11. 10. Outbound links quantity. Each page has inbound and, most probably, outbound links. In this column you see outbound links quantity.
  12. 11. Redirected to. If page is represented as redirect, here we will see this redirect.
  13. 12. Page status/response code. Shows page status and response code.
So, if we click now on any of page URL we will be able to see full information about this one exactly page with all inbound/outbound links, anchor text, their status, response code, redirects, anchor text and does they closed by follow/nofollow. See detailed information in the next part.

  8. 8. Redirected to. If outbound link is redirect, here we could see where this redirect goes
  9. 9. Anchor text. Text which mentioned in outbound link. This is really useful to promote some keywords
  10. 10. Follow/Nofollow link status. As you probably know, it is recommended to close outbound links which goes to external site by nofollow marker. It makes since only with outbound links. Here you could see does this link closed or not by nofollow marker.
  11. 11. Additional functional menu. If you double click by left mouse button on empty space of any cell with any link, you will be able see additional operation menu. By means of this menu operators you could: open link in this cell in new browser tab AND (second options) see this link on the page directly. Link will be highlighted and visible. This is exactly useful if you are looking for broken or any other link which hardly searchable on long page. To close this menu - press ESC button

This view consists of 2 steps. On the first one we have to select source page we are going to check, the second one – all results taking into consideration selected source page on step 1.
  1. 1. Source page(s) which contains destination link we are looking for. After selecting source page just click “Load page” button

  1. Filters is a brilliant feature of this tool. By means of them, we can ignore some parts of website which doesn’t affect on the results in general. For example, “print” pages, “e-mail to friend” pages etc. Use words or combination of words, or regular expressions for that. We can use so many patterns as necessary. (1) Each new pattern should be delimited by Enter. Or, in other words, each new pattern = new string.

  1. We can share our test results with the others. This is very simple. Just enter (1) email or several emails of the person(s) which should be allowed to see results and click Apply. Invitation to these results will be send for these emails (or email). If there are several of them, they should be separated by a newline sign, that is, each new e-mail is required to occupy one line.
